Over three decades, FIRST robotics teams have designed, documented, and iterated on countless mechanisms, software, architectures, and organizational strategies. Navigating this vast ocean of institutional memory can be overwhelming especially with the students and sometimes mentor turnovers from year to year. Knowing where to look and how to search is often the difference between spending weeks reinventing the wheel and building directly on proven community standards. Engineering is an iterative process; the information is out there.
